Salary tracker: see where your salary goes, month by month
ArthPulse tracks the money coming in, not just the money going out. Your salary, refunds and savings sit alongside every spend, picked up automatically from your bank's SMS alerts, so each month shows what came in, what went out, and what you actually kept.
"Where did my salary go?"
It is the most common money question there is, and a list of expenses alone cannot answer it. You need both sides of the month: the salary that arrived, every spend that followed it, and the gap between them. Most expense trackers only see the spending side, and most of them need you to type it in.
What ArthPulse shows you
- Income vs spend, every month: what came in, what went out, and how much of your income you spent
- Where the salary went, by category and by merchant
- Your savings over time, month after month, so you can see whether cutting back is working
The early-salary problem, solved
Many employers pay at the end of the month: a salary on 28 May is really June's money. A tracker that goes by the date counts it in May, so May looks rich, June looks broke, and both months' savings are wrong.
In ArthPulse you can add a salary rule: your employer, the days your salary usually lands, and whether it counts toward that month or the next. From then on the salary is counted in the month it is meant for, and your earlier salaries from that employer are re-sorted the moment you save the rule. Delete the rule and those months go back to the way they were.
Income that is really income
- Refunds are not income. A returned order is recorded as a refund, so it does not inflate what you earned.
- Transfers are not income. Money moved between your own accounts, or sent by a friend, is recorded as a transfer by default, so your income figure is your salary and real earnings.
- Salary is recognised automatically when the bank's alert says so, and through your salary rule when it does not, for employers whose credit just shows a company name.
Private by design
No bank login and no account aggregator: ArthPulse reads the alerts your bank already sends. Your salary and spending are never sold or used for ads. See exactly how we protect your data.
Good to know
- Android only for automatic tracking. iPhones do not let apps read SMS; the web dashboard works anywhere.
- It needs the SMS. A credit your bank does not send an alert for cannot be tracked.

Get ArthPulseQuestions
My salary arrives on the 28th. Which month does it count in?
Your choice. Add a salary rule with your employer and the days your salary usually lands, and choose whether it counts toward that month or the next. A salary paid on 28 May for June then shows as June income, so June's savings are measured against the money you actually spent them from.
Do refunds count as income?
No. ArthPulse records refunds separately, so a returned order does not inflate your income.
What about money a friend sends me?
Incoming money that is not recognised as salary or a refund is recorded as a transfer by default, not as income. You can change any transaction yourself.
Do I need to enter my salary manually?
No. ArthPulse picks up the credit from your bank's SMS alert. A salary rule is optional and only needed when your employer's credit does not say "salary", or when you want an early salary counted in the next month.
