Why I built ArthPulse

Living in Bangalore has a way of making a good salary disappear. To friends and family in other cities, the number on the payslip looks big. Yet month after month I would reach the end and wonder where it had all gone: food orders, groceries, utilities, shopping, the daily commute, travel, EMIs. Each spend small and reasonable on its own. Together, a mystery.
I wanted what any responsible adult should have: a complete picture of when money comes in, when and how it goes out, where it is being wasted, and whether cutting back is actually working.
The options were not great.
- A spreadsheet, logging every transaction from every app, every single day. Miss a few busy days, twenty small UPI payments go unrecorded, and the whole picture is gone.
- A manual expense app: the same spreadsheet with a nicer screen. Every entry still typed by hand, and no intelligence at all.
- An automatic app that treats your financial data as something to monetise, and still does not learn when you correct its mistakes.
As a software engineer, and honestly a lazy one, I knew none of these would survive past the first month. So I built the app I wanted to use.
Automatic
Nobody has time for a second job maintaining a balance sheet after their full-time one. ArthPulse reads the alerts your bank already sends, so nothing is typed.
Intelligent
It sorts every transaction for you and learns from each correction you make, so the app gets better the more you use it.
Private
It is your money. No bank login, no ads, no selling your data. Here is exactly how we protect it.
ArthPulse is for people like me: people who value well-made software and want to take control of their finances without turning it into a chore.
