Terms of Use
Version 1.2 · Last updated: 12 July 2026
1. Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and ArthPulse (“ArthPulse”, “we”, “us”), operated by ArthPulse Labs, a sole proprietorship based in India that provides the ArthPulse personal-finance app and website. By creating an account or using ArthPulse, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use ArthPulse.
2. Eligibility — you must be 18 or older
ArthPulse is available only to individuals who are at least 18 years old. By using ArthPulse you confirm that you are 18 or older. We ask for your date of birth at sign-up and do not allow registration by anyone under 18.
3. What ArthPulse does
ArthPulse reads the bank, card and UPI transaction-alert messages (SMS) on your device and turns them into a categorised record of your spending, with dashboards and insights. To do this, ArthPulse needs your permission to read SMS; how we handle that data is described in our Privacy Policy.
ArthPulse is an informational tool, not a bank or a financial adviser. We explain the important limits of the service in §7 and §8.
4. Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information and to keep it up to date.
- One account per person. You may not share, sell or transfer your account.
- If you enable a biometric passkey, you are responsible for the devices on which it is set up.
5. Your responsibilities
When using ArthPulse, you agree to:
- comply with all applicable laws;
- not impersonate any other person or misrepresent your identity;
- not provide false or misleading information, and not suppress material information, when creating your account or exercising your rights;
- not raise false or frivolous grievances or complaints;
- provide authentic information when you ask us to correct or erase your data;
- not misuse the service — including no attempt to hack, disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape, or gain unauthorised access to ArthPulse, other users' data, or our systems;
- not use ArthPulse for any unlawful purpose.
(The duties above reflect the duties of a Data Principal under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and our acceptable-use rules.)
6. Your data and privacy
Your use of ArthPulse involves the processing of your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. We treat your personal data as confidential and do not disclose it except as described in the Privacy Policy or as required by law. You own your transaction data; we hold and process it to provide the service.
7. Accuracy — the service is provided “as is”
ArthPulse reads messages and uses automated AI models to interpret them. This process is not perfect: messages can be missed, mis-read, mis-categorised or duplicated, and the models are not deterministic. ArthPulse is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the transaction data, balances, categories or insights are complete or accurate.
You should always treat your bank's own statements and records as the authoritative source of truth about your money. Please review and correct your transactions in the app; corrections help the service improve.
8. Not financial advice
ArthPulse provides information about your own transactions for your personal money-management. It does not provide financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and nothing in the app should be relied on as such. Decisions you make based on ArthPulse are your own responsibility.
9. Third-party services
ArthPulse relies on your mobile network's SMS delivery, your device, and the service providers listed in our Privacy Policy (hosting, email, business-name lookup). We are not responsible for the acts, failures or availability of these third parties, or for the accuracy of the original messages sent to you by your bank or others.
10. Intellectual property
The ArthPulse app, website, branding, and software are owned by us and protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use ArthPulse for your own money-management. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the app except as allowed by law. Your own personal data remains yours.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ArthPulse and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for any loss arising from your reliance on the accuracy or availability of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Indian law.
12. Suspension and termination
- By you: you may stop using ArthPulse and delete your account and all of your data at any time, self-serve, from Settings → Delete account in the app or on the web dashboard (or by contacting us). Deletion takes effect after a short grace period during which you can cancel — see the Privacy Policy, §10, and arthpulse.in/delete-account.
- By us: we may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, misuse the service, or where required by law. Where reasonable, we will give you notice.
- Certain data may be retained after account closure where the law requires it, then permanently erased (see the Privacy Policy, §9).
13. Changes to these Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time, at our discretion, to reflect changes in our services, technology, business practices, or legal and regulatory requirements. When we make changes, we will revise the version above, and the changes take effect when the updated Terms are posted. Your continued use of ArthPulse after an update means you accept the updated Terms. We apply the same approach to our Privacy Policy.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any rights you have under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (including the grievance process below and recourse to the Data Protection Board of India), the courts at Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh shall have jurisdiction over any dispute.
15. Grievances and contact
For any complaint or question about these Terms or your data, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within the period required by law (no later than 90 days).
